Tool Monitoring
CS2
The CS2 tool monitoring system is focused on simple machining processes with a limited set of tools that can be monitored in a very accurate way due to the use of high performing sensors.
- Stand alone system
- Limited set of parameters for easy set-up
- Management of multiple sensors (force, vibration, etc.)
- Tool monitoring with the evaluation of worn and broken condition
CS2 is a compact system that can be installed everywhere in the machine due to its IP67 high protection structure. Each sensor type(force, vibration etc.) are directly connected to the CS2 processing unit to eliminate any possible delays related to communication buses. Tool Monitoring is performed through the continuous checking of the signals generated by different sensors that are matched with alarm thresholds set by the operator. The system can manage up to 256 different processes. Main events are stored in a local black box and data of each process can be exported for further evaluation on an external PC.
- Monitors tool breakage, missing tools, tool wear
- Connection to PC via Ethernet
- Connection to PLC via additional unit CSEPLC
- Up to 2 sensors can be connected
- Visualization on Windows OS
CS2xx (single channel): xx = AC (Accelerometer), SF (Static Force), DF (Dynamic Force), PW (True Power)
CS2xxyy (double channel): yy= AC, SF, DF, PW (any kind of combination of xx and yy is possible)
