ARTIS GmbH is building a new head office. With the laying of the foundation stone on 18 September at Am Buchenring 40, in the Hauskoppel industrial estate in Egestorf, the company sets the stage for future growth. The move into the new building is scheduled for autumn 2014.
Process safety for metal cutting technology will be big news at Am Buchenring 40 from autumn 2014 onwards. ARTIS GmbH, established in 1983, will then move into the new head office which has room for 100 employees. With its current workforce of over 60 employees, the company develops and manufactures tool and process monitoring systems for machine tools. ARTIS joined the MARPOSS Group in 2008.
Because there is no more space to expand at the company’s current location in Bispingen-Behringen, and therefore not enough room to realize the company’s growth strategy in the existing premises, a decision was made to erect a new building at a new location. “The new building project in Egestorf highlights our loyalty to our local roots in the Heide region, at the same time as creating new opportunities thanks to the close proximity to Hamburg – especially the chance of attracting the additional highly qualified employees we need to realize our ambitious plans in the years to come,” says ARTIS Managing Director Hans-Georg Conrady about the new location. He sees big opportunities for significant growth within the MARPOSS consortium, thanks to the technical possibilities, as well as the association with the international sales and service network of the MARPOSS Group.
MARPOSS Group President, Mr. Stefano Possati, was present at the Cornerstone Ceremony on September 18th, 2013 to support MARPOSS strategy in this important investment. His outlook for the future: “Thanks to the association with the diverse range of companies within the Group, Artis can become much more intensely integrated within the production process chain, and therefore provide users with the interlinked solutions that the market is increasingly demanding. This significant investment will enable our Group to continue the positive development we have enjoyed in recent years, and to orientate ourselves even more strongly than before to the expanding international markets.”
The new building itself has 3,600 m2 floor space and is operated with renewable energy sources. The overall concept includes a wood-chip heating system, solar thermal energy, photovoltaics, and absorption cooling technology. The new location is planned to stand out by way of the high quality of the jobs, and numerous attractive opportunities for the employees: in addition to a large canteen and patios, there will also be showers and a gymnasium. The new building is part of a corporate concept which also satisfies the personal needs of the employees. This provides the foundations for the very high levels of qualifications and motivation with which ARTIS intends to consolidate its position as an attractive employer, and in response to the growing shortage of qualified workers in the job market.
