MARPOSS METROLOGY LAB AWARDS

On April 19, 2001, in compliance with the accreditation maintenance procedure, the SIT (Calibration Service in Italy) made a surveillance audit of the Marposs SpA Metrology Lab, Calibration Center No 084. The result of the audit was extremely positive, as it demonstrated the full compliance to the EN 45001 standard and to the SIT and EA (European cooperation for Accreditation) procedures.

Furthermore, the current Lab organization also fulfills the technical aspects and managing requisites established by the new ISO/IEC 17025 "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories" standard, which shall be satisfied by all the labs accredited by organizations that adhere to the mutual agreements for certification within EA.

The result of the SIT audit confirms the excellent result (score = 95%) that was obtained in the PSA PEUGEOT CITROEN audit completed in December 2000.At that time, beyond the technical aspects and managing organization of the Lab, the gauging capabilities and measurement uncertainty were verified through testing on several samples.

The two audits confirmed the technical quality of the Lab under different points of view: personnel, equipment, methods, environment.The above provides a solid warranty of the reliability of the Laboratory's certifications of masters and sample parts used as metrologic references for all the measurements performed by all Marposs manufactured gauging equipment.
