Metrology Laboratory Technician
Responsibilities
The measurement of reference samples is the basis for the accuracy of measurements performed by Marposs products.
The candidate, reporting directly to the LAT-accredited Metrology Laboratory Manager, will perform coordinate measurements with the aid of high-precision instrumentation, evaluating the results.
Profile
A high school degree in mechanics or equivalent is required, as well as excellent knowledge of technical drawing in the field of GPS (ISO 14638) / GD&T (ASME Y14.5M).
Training in the use of the Laboratory equipment, in particular for the CMM programming software, is foreseen. Curiosity, passion and desire to learn, and aptitude for using even complex information technology tools are required. Good interpersonal skills and a propensity to work in a confined environment, even with extended hours when required, in close contact with the work team are important.
Experience with Leitz machines (Quindos software) is an asset.
Knowledge of Taylor Hobson roundness and roughness gauges, elements of CREO and Autocad, and previous experience in gear measurement or construction are additional qualifications.
