E50 SERIES
E50 SERIES are part of STIL CHROMAPOINT SENSORS.
All optical fibers are passive components, Silica graded index fibers with 50µm core, E2000/APC connector for connection with STIL controller and FC/APC connector for connection with STIL optical sensor head.

E50 Optical Fibers are made up of different models to be adapted in Labs in standard or in Industrial plants with specific protection.
Three types of protection are available:
- Standard fiber : with plastic protection. Best fit for the majority of applications.
- Metal-clad fiber : standard fiber with an additional metal clad. Best solution for hard environments.
- Armored fiber : the metal armor consists in a spiral steel tape used to house and protect the fibers, located between the Silica fiber and the plastic protection. The armored fibers, compared to the metal-clad optical fibers, present a smaller diameter and keep a maximum protection of the core, with a high resistance to tension and pressure, even higher than with a metal-clad version. Armored fibers remain weaker than metal-clad versions against excessive bending.
