Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Regulation

Statement of Compliance

POPs, Persistent organic pollutants, such as some industry chemicals that can be transported across international boundaries far from their sources and persist in the environment, bio accumulate through the food chain and pose a risk to human health and the environment. The continuous release of POPs into the environment has been causing serious concern to the European Union since Regulation (EC) No 850/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on POPs entered into force in 2004. After several amendments, the POPs regulation was cast into Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 of the European Parliament and of the Council in 2019.
