CERTIFICATIONS ACCORDING TO ISO 14001 AND OHSAS 18001
AT MARPOSS SPA, THE NEWLY INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR QUALITY, ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY HAS ACHIEVED ISO 14001 AND OHSAS 18001 CERTIFICATIONS
On December 14, 2001, Marposs SpA's management system has achieved ISO 14001 (Environmental management systems: specification) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational health and safety management systems: specification) certifications.
These results solidify the Marposs commitment to the enviroment and to its workers' safety, making it one of the first companies in the mechanical industry to have reached such goals.
These two certifications assure our customers that activities that take place within the Bentivoglio site focus on worker safety and respect for the environment. Reduction in national resource consumption, strengthening of the environmental and work incident prevention systems, all contribute to the success of the organization. Our compliance to high quality standards will result in higher customer satisfaction and improved quality of the final product.
These two certifications have contributed to the redefinition of the established quality management system into a more complete integrated quality, environmental and safety management system.
The Company is now working towards compliance of its integrated management system to the ISO 9001:2000 specifications (certification due in the first half of year 2002). This new goal, together with the Ford Q1 and EAQF 94 qualifications attest to our commitment for continous improvement of our performance and the satisfaction of our customers.
