On assembly lines there is the constant need to assemble mechanical components with very strict construction tolerances. The motor industry often manufactures components with wider tolerances of the single components, in order to reduce production costs, and then matches them together selectively.
Marposs produces manual and automatic gauging stations, including handling systems for complete turnkey solutions, designed to test the motor during the component selection stage and assembly.
The gauging stations are generally used in the following production lines:
- assembly of engine head with calibrated shims interposed between cam and valve of every tappet
- assembly of gear cases, with determination of calibrated spacers to obtain the correct preloads on conical bearings
- assembly of differential cases, with interposition of calibrated spacing rings to create the correct operating conditions of the gears
- assembly of counter-rotating balancing shafts, to obtain the correct meshing conditions between countershaft and crankshaft
- assembly of rotary compressors for air conditioners.
Other solutions can be designed, also in simultaneous engineering, with customers to meet their requirements.
- Excellent quality/price ratio, guaranteed by a complete industrialisation
- Extremely fast cycle times
- The gauge is designed by taking into account the requirements for its positioning in any workshop environment.
- Extreme long-term reliability
To find the best quality/price ratio together, all technical specifications, such as metrological and dimensional performance, are agreed with the customer during the technical and sales negotiations.
