MONITORING OF THE MACHINING CYCLE

MARPOSS ENRICHES THEIR MACHINE TOOL PRODUCT RANGE WITH NEW SOLUTIONS FOR MONITORING THE MACHINING CYCLE

MONITORING OF THE MACHINING CYCLE

With today's global competition, every Company continues to look for more efficient solutions to optimize machining cycles, avoid scraps, and minimize machine downtimes. Machining processes must become more sophisticated and streamlined to provide higher efficiency and lower costs.

Since 1952 Marposs has been in strict partnership with the most important Machine Tool Makers worldwide, and we are always ready to accept new requests and propose new solutions.

Our newest solution is a new product line dedicated to the continuous monitoring of the machine process through several type of sensors (static and dynamic force, vibration, power, temperature, etc). The sensors constantly control any machine function, thus allowing cycle optimization and the reduction of scrap and machine downtime.

Such products are manufactured through Control Systems, a Marposs Company, and will be distributed through the Marposs worldwide sales network. Control Systems has been successfully operating in the field of process monitoring on cutting machine tools, with competence and experience, for many years.

This new product line further increases Marposs' ability to provide measurement and control on any type of machine tool:
  • On grinding machines with well known in-process gauges, wheel balancers and monitoring applications through acoustic sensors;
  • On cutting machine tools (lathes, milling machines, machining centers, turning centers, etc.) with a complete line of touch probes for part and tool pre-setting and measurement; laser systems for non-contact tool measurement as well as plug gauges for transfer lines and machining centers;
  • On any type of machine tool, Marposs proposes post-process measuring stations with direct connection to CNC for real-time feedback on machining parameters to optimize product quality.
