MARPOSS OPENED ITS SECOND PLANT IN NANJING, CHINA

 

On May 19th, MARPOSS inaugurated the second production facility of MARPOSS NANJING AUTOMATION (MNA), the group branch located in Nanjing (China) in the Riverside Economic Development Zone.
The ceremony took place in the presence of Stefano Possati, President of Marposs Group, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Nanjing, Chu Yong Hong, Consul General of Italy in Shanghai, Stefano Beltrame, Director of Riverside Economic Development Zone Li Bin as well as other Italian and Chinese authorities.

The production site in Nanjing, built on 37,000 square meters of land, 27,000 of which is intended for production areas and offices, was built according to the highest levels of comfort, safety and environmental awareness.
MNA currently employs about 450 people, while Marposs Shanghai Trading (MST), operating in the Chinese market for sales and after-sales service, employs about 150, bringing the total workforce of Marposs in China to 600 people.

Marposs has been operating in China for nearly 30 years and has more than 15 years of local manufacturing experience.
MNA was founded in 2006 as a joint venture with a local partner and in 2008, Marposs acquired all the shares and invested in the construction of its first plant, which opened in 2009 in the Riverside Economic Development Zone.

As a result of opening its second factory which is already fully operational, MNA reaches a production capacity of over 100 million dollars and is now capable of providing almost the entire range of manual and automatic measurement machines, automatic lines for leak tests based on air, helium or hydrogen technology as well as a wide range of automation solutions such as conveyors, rotary tables and assembly machines in general. In addition, MNA manufactures a wide range of standard products available in the MARPOSS catalog as gauges for machine tools and precision mechanical systems for special functional controls.

MNA also includes a metrology laboratory ISO17025 certified in April 2013 by China National Accreditation Service.
