Non contact roughness measurement

STIL chromatic confocal sensors are designed to measure non-contact roughness according to ISO25178-602 standard, on all samples without reflectivity criteria, from transparent to opaque surfaces.

High Numerical Aperture (NA=0,75), minimal lateral resolution (below 1µm) and axial resolution (starting at nanometer scales) are the key factors to use STIL ChromaPoint or ChromaLine sensors to reach Ra from nanometers to micrometers scales.
