Radio Transmission Bore Gauge
WRG
WRG is a high precision, automatic gauge for measuring the diameter of cylinders, crank pins and cam shaft bores.
It is ideal for use on machining centres and transfer lines in large-scale mass production environments.
The measurement is obtained directly inside the machine, it is automatic and completely independent of the axes.
The WRG system can be used to perform accurate diameter, ovality and cylindricity dimensional measurements on engine blocks, crank pins and crank shaft bores, or mechanical elements in general, as well as rivet holes.
It can be used to measure bores ranging from a few millimetres up to over 200 mm, providing incredible flexibility while guaranteeing the same accuracy.
The measurement process is extremely fast, and a single gauge can be used to manage up to 8 transducers; this means that the same system may be used to measure separate sections, providing incredible versatility and reduced costs.
It is also equipped with a protection device in the event of frontal collisions.
The system interfaces with a WRI radio receiver, which communicates with a Marposs amplifier (P7 or E9066) used to manage and display the measurement, and store a detailed statistical analysis of production quality.
- Extremely fast measurements directly inside the machine environment
- Increased production quality
- Increased machine productivity
- It is possible to monitor the production quality in real time
- Incredible battery operating life
- Easy to use and understand
For all technical characteristics, please refer to the table in the DOWNLOAD section.
WRG is available in two different sized versions.
WRG60
This is the compact version and is ideal for use in applications where space is at a premium. The transmitter diameter is 63 mm, and it is capable of managing up to 4 transducers.
WRG80
This is the large version. It is ideal for use in applications where it is necessary to measure large diameters and/or the measurement depths require the system to be exceptionally robust. The transmitter diameter is 81 mm, and it is capable of managing up to 8 transducers.
