HIGH ACCURACY VISUAL TOOL SETTER (VTS) FOR SMALL TOOLS

 

VTS is first contactless tool setter designed by Marposs using visual system to capture tool images in real working conditions.

The new VTS measurement system has been developed to reach micron and sub-micron precision on micro tools involved in small mechanical parts and die and mold production: through its advanced image processing technology, VTS system allows full tool geometry characterization with 0.1 micron resolution and is able to measure tools from 10 micron up to 40 mm diameter with a repeatability of 0.2 micron.
