Marposs introduced an additional version of its Merlin embedded gauge computer with the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system at IMTS 2010.
The new Merlin Plus gauge computer is designed for simple measuring applications up to 16 sensors/measurements and basic statistical analysis. It represents a new concept of gauge computers using the same technologies created for PDA and portable electronics, for data collection from traditional or wireless measuring devices.
Embedded technology allows: small dimensions (the whole system footprint is smaller than a sheet of standard paper), fanless architecture and no moving parts (flash disk storage media), assuring the highest level of system reliability.
Merlin gauge software provides a friendly and easy to use operator interface. Its touch-screen designed human interface allows programming and measurement acquisition without any additional input/command device.
The Merlin Plus with Microsoft® Windows® XP adds to the basic Merlin system’s enhanced data storage capabilities for the most demanding network environment, plus a print screen option where hard copy results are necessary. Merlin Plus can now be protected by standard tools on the company network.
